Hydraulic crane operator wanted in Eilean Siar

Now hiring: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Eilean Siar, Scotland. The job is in a steel fabrication workshop. Day to day you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
