Now hiring: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Grand County, Utah. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
