MIG/MAG welder • Lake County, South Dakota

We are recruiting: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Lake County, South Dakota. The job is at an automobile body shop. Requirements: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium The role involves change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints.
