Machinist — Baraga County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machinist in Baraga County, Michigan. You will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. Requirements: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
