Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Okaloosa County, Florida. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On the job you will handle: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Pay around $27 per hour, based on your experience.
