Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Gladwin County, Michigan. On the job you will handle: • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
