We are recruiting: furnace operator (Colorado)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Alamosa County, Colorado. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. You will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Part-time with flexible hours.
