We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
