Now hiring: we are hiring a finishing presser in Allen County, Kentucky. You will be based in a busy laundry. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work On a typical shift you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board.
