Now hiring: we are hiring a construction mazdoor in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. You will work on a metro and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it The role involves: • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour Six days a week, one day off.
