Vacancy available: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Presque Isle County, Michigan. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths On a typical shift you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
