Gas meter installer • Rockingham County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Rockingham County, Virginia. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches On a typical shift you will read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
