Vacancy available: we are hiring a site labourer in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will be based on a high-rise construction site. On a typical shift you will set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns. You should have: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
