Now hiring: we are hiring a wood machinist in Chemung County, New York. You will work in a bespoke joinery workshop. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists On a typical shift you will glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish.
