Argon arc welder • Northampton County, North Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Northampton County, North Carolina. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
