Now hiring: we are hiring a coating plant operator in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a fabrication and coating plant. You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Keen eye for finish quality and surface defects • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes Day to day you will inspect the finish for runs, orange peel and bare patches; stack and pack finished parts without scratching the coat; mask off threads, holes and machined faces with caps and tape; top up and monitor pre-treatment chemical bath concentrations; record batch numbers, oven temperatures and coating thickness; pre-treat parts through phosphating and rinse tanks.
