Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundworker in McDowell County, West Virginia. You will be based on a road and bridge project. Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage The role involves: • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
