Foundry operative wanted in Grundy County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Grundy County, Missouri. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Rotating shifts.
