Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Calhoun County, Mississippi. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Your main tasks: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Full-time with occasional weekends.
