Trainee butcher — Southend-on-Sea

Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Southend-on-Sea, England. You will be based in a meat processing plant. The role involves sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; season and marinate meat on request; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled. Requirements: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
