Great opportunity: we are hiring a hydraulic press operator in Charlevoix County, Michigan. You will be based in a metal fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Day-to-day duties: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Record output and downtime on the production sheet 1+ years on the tools preferred.
