Garment machinist — Carroll County

Join our team: we are hiring a garment machinist in Carroll County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy garment factory. What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown The role involves: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
