Now hiring: we are hiring a scaffold fitter in DeKalb County, Illinois. The job is at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground • Erect debris netting, sheeting and brick guards • Fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform • Install ladder access and ladder gates between the lifts • Tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner • Inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use Requirements: • Proven experience erecting tube-and-fitting and system scaffold • Awareness of TG20 and SG4 safe working practice Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
