Port container crane operator • Allegan County, Michigan

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Allegan County, Michigan. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Your main tasks: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius You should have: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Strong attention to safety and load limits 4+ years on the tools preferred.
