Requirements: • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling Day to day you will check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place.
