Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Jakusko, Yobe State. You should have: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Day-to-day duties: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
