Now hiring: we are hiring a pressman in Iredell County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience.
