Great opportunity: we are hiring a QC inspector in Orleans County, Vermont. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. Day to day you will verify dimensions against the tolerance limits on the technical drawing; inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting; log batch numbers, lot codes and traceability data; escalate recurring defects to the line supervisor or QA engineer; carry out first-article and in-process checks on the production line; segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols • Confident using vernier callipers, micrometers and gauges • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
