Immediate opening: we are hiring a bench joiner in Bolivar County, Mississippi. Day-to-day duties: • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops Requirements: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
