Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Brown County, Illinois. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Your main tasks: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Overtime paid at a premium rate.
