Commis chef • Sitka City and Borough, Alaska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a commis chef in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a cloud kitchen. On a typical shift you will monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat. Ideal candidate: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $22 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
