Now hiring: GTAW welder (North Carolina)

Join our team: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Chowan County, North Carolina. The job is on a structural steel site. On a typical shift you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 6+ years on the tools preferred. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
