Gas installation technician • Wayne County, Iowa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Wayne County, Iowa. You will work in a gas distribution network. Day-to-day duties: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Driving licence for travel between sites Full-time, day shift.
