Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Delaware County, New York. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one You will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
