Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Oji-River, Enugu State. Your main tasks: • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days You should have: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
