Overlocker operator — Saint John the Baptist Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Saint John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a busy garment factory. You will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Rotating shifts. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
