Cement mason — Buckingham County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Buckingham County, Virginia. You will be based in a residential housing project. Your main tasks: • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing You should have: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
