Immediate opening: banksman (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in Isles of Scilly, England. You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Your main tasks: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
