Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Montgomery County, Missouri. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work The role involves: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run 4+ years on the tools preferred.
