Metal caster wanted in Delaware County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Delaware County, Indiana. You will be based on the moulding line. Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Part-time with flexible hours.
