Vacancy available: we are hiring a production welder in Lake County, Michigan. The job is at an automobile body shop. What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding The role involves weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
