Laundry presser wanted in Tioga County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a laundry presser in Tioga County, New York. The job is in a busy laundry. On a typical shift you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
