Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Bates County, Missouri. The job is at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
