What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools such as a utility knife and trowel • Able to read construction drawings and specifications • Disciplined about PPE — respirator, gloves and goggles The role involves: • Wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding • Carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks • Torch-on bituminous waterproofing membrane to flat roofs, basements and foundations • Fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters • Install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape • Seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
