Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Polk County, North Carolina. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) You will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle.
