We are recruiting: furnace operator (Tennessee)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Sullivan County, Tennessee. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Rotating shifts.
