Immediate opening: concrete pump mate (Kano State)

Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Shanono, Kano State. You will work at an infrastructure site. You should have: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Your main tasks: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
