Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Blount County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Blount County, Alabama. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks On a typical shift you will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts.
