Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Morgan County, Georgia. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Ideal candidate: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher The role involves: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
