Safety officer — Ekwusigo

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Ekwusigo, Anambra State. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. Day-to-day duties: • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
